- Senior, Anthropology and Classics majors
At UWM, I’ve double-majored in Anthropology and Classics, combining ancient history with hands-on work in the present. A major turning point for me was working with Dr. Gregg Jamison on a multi-semester archaeological research project at the UWM at Waukesha Field Station. There’s something powerful about holding an object that hasn’t been touched in a hundred years and being the one to help it speak again. That experience confirmed for me that archaeology isn’t just about the past. Rather, it’s about preserving stories that might otherwise be lost. Outside the classroom, I’ve volunteered at a local food pantry and the Washington County Humane Society, and I’ve kept a full schedule that reflects my work ethic and commitment to giving back. After graduation, I plan to enter cultural resource management before heading to grad school for classical archaeology. My goal is to keep uncovering stories, whether in a field, a lab, or a forgotten corner of history.
