Sophia Rosalina. Taavao
- Junior, Neuroscience major with a Pre-Med track
I am so honored to be accepted into Phi Beta Kappa! I have been so grateful for the opportunities my education at UW-Milwaukee has offered me. My education at UW-Milwaukee began in Fall ‘23 and I am expected to graduate in Spring ‘26. I am an undergraduate student majoring in Neuroscience, minoring in Biology, and I am on the Pre-Med Track. I am a research assistant with the Cognition, Aging, and Brain Imaging (CABI) Lab. I started volunteering with the lab during January of 2024, and have since received SURF funding for my work in the lab. In addition to the research experience I have gained at the CABI Lab, I will be expanding my experience into medical research through University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health’s (UWSMPH) Rural and Urban Scholars in Community Health (RUSCH) Program. I have been accepted into the ‘25-‘26 RUSCH cohort, through which I will be participating in a public health internship at a Wisconsin Area Health Education center and working under research faculty at UWSMPH.
