Andersen Skeels

Andersen Skeels

  • Junior, English and Film Studies majors

My name is Andersen Skeels and I am a second year student at UWM who is dual majoring in Film Studies and English. It has been amazing to work with the Film Studies faculty who have played an inexpressibly large role in expanding my talents as a writer and student, and also encouraging me to keep chasing new opportunities and experiences in my academic career. Additionally, I am a member of the Honors College who too have presented many venues for both my academic and creative work, namely the Honors Writing Contest which I have submitted for. All of the people involved in these groups have made me feel confident as I take steps to write professionally, in whichever way that may manifest. Beyond academics, I am an incoming officer for UWM's Music Appreciation Club, and I also play drums for a local band.

I would like to again extend my thanks to all my family, friends, peers, and mentors that have shaped me into a person both intelligent and dedicated enough to be accepted into Phi Beta Kappa.
