Jennifer Olson

I am very excited to be joining such a prestigious honors society. Since starting my academic career at UWM, I have had many amazing opportunities to grow as a student and person. I am currently a junior and am studying abroad in Barcelona this Spring 2023 semester. Travel is a passion of mine and learning about other cultures is part of what drew me to pursue Global Studies as a major. I have also enjoyed interning at Saputo in the Customer Service department last summer and this coming summer I am excited to join them again. This position has allowed me to expand my career skills while continuing to grow my knowledge of how businesses operate globally and the process of exporting goods out of the United States.

During my time at UWM, there have been many influential staff and faculty that have helped my career along. When participating in the Honors Alternative Spring Break in 2022, I had the pleasure of traveling to New Orleans to volunteer with honors professor Ben Schneider who has been a great inspiration and help since with anything academic or personal. Being an honors student has allowed me to work with other great professors that have helped me develop new academic interests as well.
