Nicholas John Nelson

  • Junior, Physics major

I feel very honored to be a part of UWM's Phi Beta Kappa chapter. I transferred to UWM in the spring of 2023 from MSOE when I decided to change my major to Physics with an emphasis in Astronomy. Since then, I have been fortunate to be able to conduct astrophysics research at UWM as an undergrad working with Professor Philip Chang and Professor David Kaplan. In the upcoming year, I will be continuing my research with Professor Chang, and we hope to submit a peer reviewed publication to share our findings. After graduation, I intend to continue my education and pursue a PhD in Physics or Astronomy.
