Over the past four years in my undergraduate career at UWM I have had many positive experiences. I have made life-long friends, had great professional experiences and many educational opportunities.

Several internships through the English department enhanced my community knowledge. Being on UWM's dean's list for several semesters encouraged me to always try my best academically. I also was president of Focus, UWMs photography club for several years, and attended regional and national conferences through Focus. Working on undergraduate research through SURF was also a really eye-opening educational and professional experience. I received FLAS, a national language scholarship through the US department of education, which greatly enhanced my learning at UWM and was an award I was very grateful to have had.

Throughout my time being a resident assistant (RA) for two years I also gained intense leadership training, and skills beyond what I ever thought I would; and met lifelong friends. I am forever grateful for my personal, professional, and academic journey at UWM and it will be a period of my life I will always hold near and dear to me heart.
