  • Senior, Psychology and Women's and Gender Studies double major

As a first-generation college student, my invitation to Phi Betta Kappa felt like an achievement that encapsulates all that I've worked towards. After transferring from a different university, taking a semester off, and completely changing my course of study, I came to UWM feeling very unsure about my future and what I wanted to do. However, through the people that I met and the courses that I took, I now feel confident about the path I am taking and feel like a more accomplished, well-rounded student because of the classes that I've been able to take at UWM. Because of UWM, the hard work I have put in as a student, and as a person, finally feels like it is paying off.
