Samuel James Hauke

I accept my invitation to Phi Beta Kappa with gratitude and would like to use this space to reflect on the days past, and the days ahead. It's been great getting to know faculty across the engineering and science departments at UWM whom have contributed to my development of crucial problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Through my Biomedical Engineering curriculum, I have met many wonderful peers and have had the opportunity to study human physiology and medical interventions in a tangible sense. The bonds I have made as a member of the UWM swimming team remain strong and I am hopeful that these friendships will carry on well into the future. Through swimming I have received the Faculty Athletic Representative Award as well as Academic All-District Team status. I also enjoy participating in promotional videos and photoshoots as a UWM Brand Ambassador.

I am hopeful to attend medical school where I would like to pursue emergency medicine. As of now, I am an EMT at Bell Ambulance and look am looking to explore my interests in professional healthcare. I have much to learn about healthcare and hope to make a positive impact along the way.
