  • Junior, English and Journalism, Advertising & Media Studies double major

Earning my undergraduate degree during a pandemic has presented some unexpected challenges; however, it has made my time at UW-Milwaukee memorable. Being a writing intern for UWM Report has helped me grow as a journalist and a person, for I have learned how to establish human connections through a screen and represent them with the written word. Choosing to pursue a BA in Journalism and English with a focus on creative writing was not an easy choice, but, ultimately, was the right one for me, an epiphany I would have never had without the guidance of great professors and instructors. I look forward to strengthening my writing skills, in journalistic and creative capacities, for the remainder of my time at UWM and to telling people’s stories fulltime upon graduation.
