I feel honored to have been invited to become a member of Phi Beta Kappa. I initially came to UWM as a Studio Art major with a focus in Jewelry and Metalsmithing; however, after my first WGS class, my career and academic goals quickly changed along with my major. Throughout my time here at UWM, I have been greatly blessed with astounding professors that have challenged me and allowed me to become the critical and analytical thinker I am today. This Summer 2021, I will be graduating early with my undergraduate degree in Women’s and Gender Studies and a certificate in LGBT+ Studies. Upon graduation, I am passionate and eager to be pursuing a career in organizing and activism to create positive social change. I am beyond grateful to be a part of the UWM Phi Beta Kappa Chapter, and I am excited to see the opportunities that await!
