Kalei Vasquez

  • Senior, Communication major

My name is Kalei Vasquez, I am a Communication major with minors in Film and Journalism, Advertising & Media Studies—and I’ll be graduating this May! I feel very honored to become a member of Phi Beta Kappa after such an incredibly rewarding undergraduate career at UW-Milwaukee! In the past four years, I have felt myself learn and grow more than I could have imagined; from being in the Honors College, to taking chances on classes across subject lines, to forming lifelong connections with peers and faculty members, all my experiences have helped prepare me for my future on personal and professional levels. I also have had the opportunity to study abroad during my last semester in Buenos Aires, Argentina, an experience that has expanded my perspective in indescribable ways and excited me even more about the prospect of working abroad throughout my career. After graduation, I will begin working full-time at East Town Association, where I have had the pleasure of interning for the past three years; concurrently, I am continuing to develop my own projects in writing and audio production into more substantial career plans. Ultimately, I feel grateful that UWM has left me in a position to feel so inspired about what is ahead of me!
