Anna Lorraine Westhoff

Anna Lorraine Westhoff

  • Senior, Education-American Sign Language Studies and Linguistics majors

My name is Anna Westhoff, and I am very honored to be accepted into Phi Beta Kappa. I am a third year student at UWM, double majoring in American Sign Language Studies and Linguistics, and double minoring in Spanish and Korean. I am also involved in the honors college. I will be graduating in the Spring of 2026, after my fourth year at UWM.

These past three years, I have been able to explore my love of language learning. Professor Sooyeon Lee (선생님) has been very supportive throughout my years here, and due to her support, I have been able to grow my proficiency in Korean and participate in the Midwest Korean Speech Competition three times.

I recently was chosen to receive a Department of State Critical Language Scholarship and will be studying abroad in South Korea this summer (2025). I am very excited for this new experience, and I will study diligently.
