UWM Receives NSF MRI Grant to Build New Generation of Optical Microspectroscopy Technology
The University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee was a recipient for three awards from the National Science Foundation to fund new research instrumentation. The three grants received, which combine to a total of just over $1.7 million, funded equipment that supports research and teaching in the chemistry, biochemistry, engineering, astrophysics, physics and medicine disciplines.
One piece of equipment built from the award funds is a new generation of optical microspectroscopy technology. The new instrument will join its predecessor in the Two-Photon Microscopy Facility of the UWM Collaboratory.
