Collaboratory Publishes in Biochemical Journal

A research paper detailing the results of the collaboration between UWM and the Department of Neuroscience at UW-Madison was recently published in the Biochemical Journal 466.2(2015): 263-271. The contribution is entitled, “The Sigma-1 receptors are present in monomeric and oligomeric forms in living cells in the presence and absence of ligands“.

This research used the OptiMiS facility to image the energy transfer between fluorescent tags to determine the size of molecular complexes form by sigma-1 receptors. Correspondence about this work may be addressed to Dr. Valerica Raicu (vraicu@uwm.edu) or Dr. Arnold Ruoho (aeruoho@facstaff.wisc.edu)
