We want to be respectful of students’ and employees’ time. Many have expressed concern about the volume of email they receive. With that in mind, all-campus emails — meaning those sent to all students and/or all employees — must meet the following criteria:
- The topic should be of interest to all students and/or all faculty and staff members.
- The topic should be something that impacts their success as students or their ability to do their jobs. Legally required messages automatically meet this criteria.
- Marketing emails that promote a specific program or event are not appropriate.
If your message does not meet the criteria, please submit a campus announcement instead.
Please note that if your message does not meet the criteria for an all-campus email, MarComm staff may publish and distribute a campus announcement instead. You will be contacted in advance if that happens.
