Becky Lang

As a former longtime health and science journalist, Becky brings deep experience in ensuring writing and editing is clear, accurate and connects with the entire UWM campus community. In her role, she coordinates campus-level communications for employees and students, as well as writing and editing for student-focused websites.

Becky was the health, science and environment editor at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel for 11 years, leading a team of award-winning reporters. She was an editor for more than seven years at national science magazine Discover, with the last four years as editor in chief. Becky is a graduate of Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.
