MarComm hosts a Photo Headshot Week at the start of each semester. UWM faculty and staff are invited to book a 10-minute appointment with a campus photographer in the UWM Photo Studio located in Cunningham Hall, room B151. Take the elevator to floor B100 and turn left.

Registration for Fall 2026 is expected to open in September 2026. We encourage early registration, as spaces are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Where is the photo studio? The MarComm Photo Studio recently re-located to Cunningham Hall, floor B100. We recommend taking the elevator and then turning left to find our Multimedia Studio (room B151). Feel free to use our dressing rooms and have a seat in the waiting area.
  • How long is my appointment? Your headshot appointment is 10 minutes. Please arrive on time and ready to smile!
  • Is there a space for me to get ready? You should arrive ready for your headshot. We have mirrors available for quick touch ups. Make sure to bring your own combs, brushes or makeup.
  • What should I wear? We recommend that you dress professionally for your headshots in a color that you feel best in. You can also check with your area’s marketing lead for additional guidance.
  • What is the cost of my headshot? There is no charge for headshots.
  • I need to cancel or reschedule my headshot. How do I do this? Click into the scheduled headshot event on your UWM Outlook calendar and then click on “Manage Meeting” to easily cancel or reschedule.
  • Can I schedule a group shot during Headshot Week? No. Group photographs must be scheduled outside of Headshot Week. Please submit the MarComm service request form to book a studio session or have a photographer come to a location of your choosing at a time that works for your group.
  • Does MarComm offer headshots outside of Headshot Week? No. Dedicated Headshot Weeks allow MarComm photographers to focus on marketing, enrollment and brand-focused photo shoots during the remainder of the year.
  • Are there other options for headshots on campus? Yes. UWM’s Center for Student Experience & Talent (SET) offers a free Iris Photo Booth service for students, faculty and staff. The photo booth is located on the second floor of Vogel Hall and is available throughout the fall and spring semesters.
