The Lubar School of Business, UWM Alumni Association, and the Lubar Entrepreneurship Center invite you to hear from National Business Leaders about their journeys through obstacles and achievements. This Director’s Cut will feature Justin Cruz, Auto Product Strategy & Development Vice President and be moderated by UWM Alumna, Annette Adams, Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resource Officer of MGIC Investment Corporation.

Justin Cruz is the Auto Product Strategy & Development VP at American Family Insurance. Prior to his current role at American Family, Justin served in various executive roles leading diversity, equity & inclusion. Prior to that, he led Strategic Data & Analytics, a data science group, from 2013 to 2018. Justin also held the position of Actuarial VP from 2008 to 2013, where he was responsible for the development of rates for the property and casualty products at American Family.  He joined the company in 2001.

Prior to joining American Family, Justin taught high school mathematics in Milwaukee Public Schools. Justin holds bachelor’s degrees in Mathematics, Spanish and Secondary Education from the UW-Madison and a master’s degree in Mathematics from the UW-Milwaukee. He serves on the board for YWCA Madison and UW-Milwaukee Foundation.
