Wikipedia Editing Workshop – Music of Slovenia

Celebrate Open Access Week by learning to improve the world’s largest open access reference source, Wikipedia. Join us for a Wikipedia Editing Workshop at the Golda Meir Library.

At this free event, anyone can learn to edit and improve Wikipedia. After an introduction to Wikipedia’s principles and editing tools, we will use topics related to UWM’s Slovenian Music Collection to practice editing skills.

No experience or special knowledge is necessary – we’ll provide training, support, source material, and computers (and snacks)!

We’ll have a variety of suggested tasks for you to do, such as:

• • Expanding existing articles
  • Adding citations and references
  • Fixing grammar and spelling errors
  • Translating articles from Slovene to English

You may bring your own laptop or use a library computer. Please register online.
