The DH Teaching Fellows Award provides an incentive for faculty, instructors, and teaching assistants to share innovative assignments that integrate digital humanities tools and methods. Each fellow will be awarded $500 toward Supplies and Expenses (S&E) to use as they see fit.

Fellows will be expected to include an assignment incorporating DH tools and methods in a class they are teaching for the Fall 2023 or Spring 2024 semester, to share their experience through a workshop and discussion in Spring 2024, and to document their assignment, resources, and learning outcomes to be shared on the UWM Libraries Digital Humanities Services website.

Eligibility

UWM faculty, teaching academic staff, and graduate teaching assistants are eligible for the awards.  

Application

As part of the application, you will be asked to describe the assignment and learning outcomes:

  1. Assignment: Describe the assignment you will assign in your Fall 2023 or Spring 2024 class and how it incorporates digital humanities tools and methods. Please include any relevant links to related resources, and the class title and number as scheduled for Fall 2023 or Spring 2024. Approximately 250-500 words.
  2. Learning outcomes: Describe the learning outcomes expected from this assignment and how learning is enhanced by this method. Approximately 250 words.
  3. Please include name, departmental affiliation, and a one-page CV and for each applicant.
