Golda Meir Library
- December 13 is the fall semester’s final “Wag More Wednesday” at the Golda Meir Library, featuring therapy dogs Tucker (9:30 a.m), Lexi (11 a.m.), Oliver (1 p.m.), Maple (2:30 p.m.) and Woodson (4:30 p.m.).
- From Friday, December 15 until the end of finals, the Golda Meir Library will host a “Relax with Crafts” table for study break destressing.
- On Monday, December 18 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., the UWM Libraries host the Chancellor’s Study Break in the Golda Meir Library. Chat with Chancellor Mone and enjoy free donut holes, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate as long as supplies last.
UWM at Waukesha and UWM at Washington County Libraries
- The Washington County Library is partnering with Student Life to provide a week of “Stress Less” activities from Monday, December 11 to Wednesday, December 13, including library mini-golf, therapy dogs, stress-free kits, and massages.
- The Waukesha Library is hosting its final Therapy Dog Lunch Hour on Tuesday, December 12 from 12 to 1 pm.
- The Washington County Library is working with the Student Affairs Office and the Washington County Campus Foundation to provide hot cocoa, coffee, tea, and study snacks to students during the entire week of finals. Students will be able to curl up in front of a live (video) bonfire and make 3D snowflakes.
- The Waukesha Library is teaming up with the Campus Mental Health Counsellor to host a Relaxation Room complete with shiatsu back and foot massagers, adult coloring books, and a large video board with relaxing scenes for students to de-compress to during the week before and during finals.
The Golda Meir Library will be open extra hours during final exam weekend: On Friday, December 15, the library is open until 11 p.m. On Saturday, December 16 and Sunday, December 17 the library opens at 10 a.m. and closes at 11 p.m.
All UWM Libraries will be closed during Winter Recess, December 24 – January 1, and will reopen on January 2, 2024. Please visit Library Hours for more information.
