Dear UWM Community:
In response to the rapidly evolving public health emergency in southeastern Wisconsin, the UWM Libraries will close until further notice our three physical locations–UWM Golda Meir Library, UWM at Washington County Library, and UWM at Waukesha Library–effective Thursday, March 19, 2020 at 5 p.m.
We have made this extremely difficult decision because our greatest concern is for the health and well-being of our users and employees.
We continue to offer robust access to online resources via our homepage and expert reference services that can found on our Ask a Librarian page. We have moved our support for UWM course instruction online, as feasible. Faculty are encouraged to use this guide to include library resources in their online instruction.
Know that we are working diligently to discover and communicate to you even more resources as they become available. We are developing scenarios to maintain other library services, such as check-out of books and other materials, and reference services for our rare and unique materials.
