Getting Started with Open Textbook Workshop March 7

UWM’s Open Textbook and OER Project, led by the UWM Libraries and the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning, has, to date, resulted in $1.3 million in student savings and bringing textbook access to 11,500 students.

This week, March 4-8, is International Open Education Week, and the UWM Libraries are hosting a workshop, “Getting Started with Open Textbook,” on Thursday, March 7 from 3 to 4 p.m. in the Digital Humanities Lab, located on the second floor east wing of the Golda Meir Library.

Faculty and instructors can learn about Open Educational Resources and Open Textbook adoption in this introductory workshop.

Amy Mangrich, Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning, and Kristin Woodward, UWM Libraries, will present best practices for identifying open content and aligning content with course goals.
