Prepare your work devices for the fall semester!

Make sure your devices are ready for the semester and check the following items off your to-do list: 

  1. Log into your on-campus computer. If you can’t, contact the UWM Help Desk
  2. Install updates. Here are instructions on how to check for updates for Windows and Apple devices. 
  3. Check installed software. Confirm that the applications you need are installed and working as intended by testing them. 
  4. Test your printer. Print a test page to make sure you can print from your computer. To add a new printer to your UWM-owned device, use our instructions for Windows and Apple devices.
  5. Check mapped network drives. If your department or group use the “Shares” network drive, make sure you can access them. To check mapped network drives, use our instructions for Windows and Apple devices.

For instructors:

  1. Request software for your class. Use the lab software request form to request new or updated software in a classroom computer lab
