About MFA
At UWM, protecting your digital identity is a shared responsibility. Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) adds a critical layer of security to your login process by requiring two forms of verification: something you know (your password) and something you have (like your mobile device). This extra step helps prevent unauthorized access and protects your account from phishing and other cyber threats.
All UWM faculty and staff are required to use MFA in accordance with Information Security Administrative Procedure 1030.A.
For more information, visit the Multi-Factor Authentication FAQ’s webpage.
