You’ll land on your homepage, which may include alerts, tasks, and quick links like “Enter My Time” or “Check In/Out.” Use the sidebar to access key worklets like Personal, Pay, Absence, and Learning.
Job Aids are step-by-step guides for Workday tasks. They include screenshots, definitions, and instructions. You can search the Workday KB Library for help with any function.
Profile Management
Go to your profile icon (top right), then “View Profile.” Use the tabs on the left to update your contact details.
Yes! Under the “Education” tab, click “Add Education.” You can enter your school, degree, year, GPA, and upload documents.
Go to the “Personal” tab in your profile and select “Names.” You can enter a preferred name, which updates in HR systems but not all campus systems.
Absences and Leave Balances
Go to your profile > “Absence” tab. The “Absence Balance” table shows vacation, sick time, personal holidays, and legal holidays.
Select “Request Absence” in the Absence worklet, choose the type of leave, and enter the dates.
Use “Request Absence” and select “No Leave Taken” for the appropriate month.
Time Entry
Hourly employees and student workers must enter time to be paid. Salaried employees generally do not unless performing additional hourly work.
From the homepage, use “Enter My Time” or “Check In/Out.” You can also go to the Personal > Time tab.
Payslips and Model My Pay
In your profile > “Pay” tab > “Payslips.” You can view, print, and download current and past payslips, tax documents, and voluntary deductions.
It’s a simulation tool that estimates your pay after hypothetical changes to benefits or tax elections.
Flexible Work Arrangements
Go to your profile > “Actions” > “Job Change” > “Request Flexible Work Agreement.”
You must end the current agreement before submitting a new one.
Your manager can guide you on department expectations and approved schedules.
Learning and Development
Use the “Learning” worklet to browse, enroll in, and track completion of required and optional courses.
From the Learning dashboard, search for a course and click “Enroll.” You’ll receive a confirmation and the course will appear in your active learning.
Mandatory trainings are assigned based on your role and employment type. You’ll receive notifications in your Workday inbox and can track them in the Learning dashboard.
Yes! You can group related courses into a custom learning path for professional development. Use the “Create Learning Path” option in the Learning worklet.
Go to the Learning dashboard and select “Learning Transcript.” You’ll see a record of completed courses, dates, and statuses.
Try refreshing the dashboard. If it still doesn’t update, submit a GetHelp ticket with the course name and completion date.
Onboarding
Click the gear icon on your homepage > “Add Menu Items” > scroll to “Personal” > click the + next to Onboarding > click “Add Item.”
