UWM offers opportunities for both past and current graduates to reuse cap and gowns, making graduation both eco-friendly and accessible.
Past Graduates
Graduates can donate their gowns for a future graduate Panther to reuse. Rather than storing your gown in your closet for years to come, please consider donating it.
How to Donate
- Drop it off: One of the Center for Student Experience and Talent (SET) office locations.

- Ship it: Address your package to Vogel Hall, Attn: Amanda Kienow, 3253 N Downer Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53211
Current Graduates
Cap and gowns are available on a first-come first-served basis. Please note there is a limited number of caps and gowns and of specific sizes. If students have questions they can contact the Center for Student Experience and Talent at get-experience@uwm.edu.
Details for Participation
- Pickup Schedule: Students can drop-in Monday through Thursday, 9am – 3pm and Friday 9am – 2pm, now through December 12.
- Pickup Location: Vogel Hall (3253 N. Downer Ave.)
- After the commencement ceremony, students should return the caps and gowns to one of the SET locations
