Graduate assistants should be on campus before or on their original contract start date.
Graduate Assistants are paid biweekly through Universities of Wisconsin System Administration. Pay will be prorated based on employment dates and divided based on [26 (12-month appointment) / 19.5 (9-month appointment)] pay periods. Accordingly, total pay may vary between semesters. Payment will occur via direct deposit into an account you designate.
New assistants should be aware that the first payment of the fall semester will generally occur in mid-September. *Note that this first payment is for only a partial work period.
