Barras’ stop-motion puppets come to life in Nancy Huston’s ecological tale set on the lush island of Borneo. Kéria, who has taken in a baby orangutan rescued by her father who works on a palm oil plantation and her cousin Selaï, who escaped the conflict between his nomadic family and the logging companies, seek to prevent the destruction of their ancestral forest.
