Inspired by a photo of Lumumba, this personal documentary, mixing biography and colonial history, witness accounts and familial archives, reflects on the role of media and memory surrounding the political assassination of the Congolese leader, thirty years after 9-year-old Peck joined in Leopoldville his family in exile from the Haitian dictatorship.
