There are multiple offices at UWM that investigate unacceptable behavior. Here are places where you can report:

Hate/Bias

If you wish to report a hate/bias incident, please use the online Hate/Bias Incident Reporting form. After your report is submitted, you will be contacted by an Equity/Diversity Services investigator. Find more information on hate/bias reports here.

Discrimination

To report discrimination, or for more information, please visit the Equity/Diversity Services office in Mitchell Hall, Room 359; call 414-229-5923 to schedule an appointment; or email diverse@uwm.edu.

UWM’s Discriminatory Conduct Policy prohibits discrimination and discriminatory harassment based on:

  • Age
  • Ancestry
  • Arrest or conviction record
  • Color
  • Disability
  • Gender identity/expression
  • Genetic information
  • Identity as a veteran, disabled veteran or Vietnam veteran
  • Marital status
  • Membership in the National Guard, state defense force or any other reserve
    component of the military forces of the United States or the state of Wisconsin
  • National origin
  • Pregnancy
  • Political affiliation
  • Race
  • Religion
  • Sex
  • Sexual orientation

Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment

If you wish to report incidents of sexual violence or sexual harassment, use this reporting form. You may also contact UWM’s Title IX coordinator. More information about reporting options for incidents involving sexual violence or sexual harassment is available on UWM’s Title IX website.

In addition, UWM’s Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment Policy prohibits sexual violence (including sexual assault, stalking, dating violence and domestic violence) and sexual harassment.
