Join us for the Moving Image Society’s Women Film Pioneers Symposium on April 19! The event will feature four talks by early cinema scholars Jane M. Gaines, Shelley Stamp, Maggie Hennefeld, and Jennifer M. Bean. The symposium is scheduled in conjunction with three programs of films by early women directors at the Oriental Theatre on Friday night, Saturday afternoon, and Saturday night, organized by Milwaukee Film.
There is a wonderful opportunity coming up to participate in a three-part screening series of pioneering early women filmmakers at the Oriental on April 19-20. This film series is curated by our very own Film Studies Professor Tami Williams.
