The English Department has two literary publications that are run by students – cream city review and Furrow. Students fill all of the roles to create a finished publication – writing, editing, publishing, and promoting.

English students are also found in other UWM student organizations: writing-based ones like the campus newspaper or Public Relations Student Society of America, social ones like club sports or outdoor adventures, and community-based organizations that volunteer or provide assistance across the Greater Milwaukee area. The UWM office of Student Involvement can help you connect to fellow students with common interests.

UWM Land Acknowledgement: We acknowledge in Milwaukee that we are on traditional Potawatomi, Ho-Chunk and Menominee homeland along the southwest shores of Michigami, North America’s largest system of freshwater lakes, where the Milwaukee, Menominee and Kinnickinnic rivers meet and the people of Wisconsin’s sovereign Anishinaabe, Ho-Chunk, Menominee, Oneida and Mohican nations remain present.   |   To learn more, visit the Electa Quinney Institute website.
