Mari Chevako

MA in Creative Writing/Poetry, MFA in Poetry, MS Ed in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages

Mari's career began in Japan where she taught English composition at a women's university.  She's continued to teach composition in a variety of settings in the Milwaukee area since then.   In recent years, she's invested herself in international students and other multilingual students at UWM as well as in international scientists at a research institute.  Mari enjoys spending her free time writing poetry, engaging with her family and friends, and deepening ties with internationals in Milwaukee.
