UW-Milwaukee releases directory information of currently enrolled students in accordance with the Wisconsin Public Records Law. See the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) website for a listing of UWM data elements defined as directory information.

Under FERPA, students have the right to request that their directory information not be published or disseminated. As such, no information will be released for students who have chosen to opt out of providing directory information.

Applicable requests for student data will be charged a minimum fee of $60 for the time required to generate and provide the data.  For requests that require more than one hour to process, additional time will be billed at a rate of $60 per hour.  Billing information must be submitted prior to the processing of the request. Please allow up to two weeks for processing.

The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is a public university subject to the Wisconsin Public Records Law (Wis. Stats. ยงยง19.31-19.39). Directory information is provided upon request in accordance with state and federal laws and statutes. The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee remains in no way associated with requesters and does not represent or endorse the use of the directory information. Requesters are expected to use this information responsibly and failure to do so may result in legal action.
