The purpose of Mosaic Network (previously Faculty of Color Mosaic) is to work with schools, colleges and the administration to create a more inclusive campus where employees from diverse backgrounds feel welcomed, supported and have equitable access to resources that will help them thrive. In previous years, the focus was on supporting faculty of color with tenure and promotion. In our efforts to be more inclusive, Mosaic Network welcomes campus members from all employee categories.

DEI senior leaders plan and implement a series of events and activities throughout the year that are designed to engage UWM employees who identify as Black, Indigenous, Asian and Latinx in the discussion of recruitment, retention, promotion and climate issues on campus. Some examples of these events may include networking reception; meetings with administrators; brown bag sessions on promotion, research, campus climate and other topics of interest.
