Some content posted by someone from outside UWM is not required to be accessible.
Am I Required To Make Content Posted by Someone Else Accessible?
If content meets the following criteria, it is third party content and is not required to meet WCAG 2.1 AA.

Criteria
- If It was posted by a third party on a UWM website or mobile app; and
- It was not posted due to contractual, licensing or other arrangements with UWM
Result
If content meets the criteria, it is third party content and not required to be accessible.
Note: You may still have to provide web content in an accessible format if an individual requests it. See the DOJ rule on digital accessibility, paragraph 34.

Examples
- A comment that a member of the public posts on a page that has comments enabled is not required to be accessible.
- Content posted on a UWM website posted by a contracted consultant must be accessible.
- A social media post created by a marketing firm contracted to post content for an initiative campaign must be accessible.
- A webpage created by a writer hired by a UWM department must be accessible.
