CLACS is proud to announce the student recipients of the Fall 2018 award cycle.

Congratulations to Marissa Paulson (BA, Global Communication; Portuguese) and Sugeiry Berroa (BA, Global Studies; Portuguese) for receiving the Donald R. Shea Scholarship! This scholarship may be used for UWM sponsored semester-long or short-term study abroad in the Latin American/Caribbean region, and for other academic opportunities in the region that can be accepted for UWM credit.

Congratulations to the Fall 2018 recipients of the Research-Travel Award which supports students who have a research proposal or paper presentation that focuses on the Latin American/Caribbean region: Lorenzo Backhaus; Katie Klein; Dria Sedar; Linda Xiong (Master of Sustainable Peacebuilding) for their Field Research in Guatemala; and Ricardo Jaimes (MS, Freshwater Sciences and Technology) for his Field Research in Mexico.
