AI in Higher Ed: A Dialogue Across Perspectives

October 24, 2025 @ 1:00 pm 2:30 pm

Overview

AI is rapidly transforming higher education—but how we understand and respond to these changes varies widely. As artificial intelligence becomes more present in our classrooms, offices, and daily work, many of us are navigating uncertainty, curiosity, and concern. Some feel excited by the possibilities, while others feel unprepared or left out of the conversations shaping its future on our campus.

This session offers a space to come together and talk about it. Join colleagues from across UWM for a dialogue-focused event where we’ll explore our diverse experiences with AI, share perspectives, and build skills for engaging in thoughtful, inclusive conversations about the technology. You’ll observe a structured dialogue among UWM colleagues representing different viewpoints, then participate in guided table discussions to reflect on how AI is showing up in your work—and what it means for your role moving forward.

This session is designed for faculty, instructors, students, grad students, and staff. All perspectives welcome—no AI experience or expertise required.
