Purpose
The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is committed to making its campus and resources accessible. The Chancellor’s Advisory Committee for Campus Accessibility acts as an advisory body to the Chancellor and Provost, assisting the university in developing and maintaining a universally accessible and inclusive campus for disabled faculty, staff, and students.
Committee Functions
- Influence and support campus education, outreach and programming regarding disabilities, universal design, accessibility and legal obligations pertaining to these.
- Develop and recommend, within the campus governance and administrative structures, policies pertaining to campus compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and other disability laws.
- Maintain a centralized accessibility and disability information website.
Committee Meetings
The advisory committee meets the third Thursday every other month at 10:00 a.m. Please contact committee chairs, Shannon Aylesworth and Karen Wolfert if you would like to attend a meeting or would like to view past meeting agendas and/or minutes.
