    Larry Nelson

    Larry is a retired middle school English teacher (31 years) and in his 24th year as an elected official.  He has served as City of Waukesha Alderperson (2000–2006) and City of Waukesha Mayor (2006–2010) and is currently a Waukesha County Supervisor (2012–Present).

    “I love serving on the Board of Visitors because of how UWM prepares young people for the future and how it drives economic development in Wisconsin.  Personally I greatly appreciated getting my Master’s Degree in English at UWM which made me a better teacher and increased my salary and annuity for the rest of my teaching career.”
