Barbara Felix
Barbara Felix is a proud Panther alum, holding UWM degrees in Speech Communication (BA, 82) and Organizational Development (MA, 84).
Professional roles include Corporate Training Director at Journal Communications for 15 years, then Executive Director of Literacy Services of Wisconsin (LSW) for seven years. Barbara retired from LSW in 2009.
Post career, Barbara trained to earn the credential of Certified Academic Language Practitioner (CALP). She founded Dyslexia Achievement Center, LLC, a private practice assessment and instructional organization to help students overcome dyslexia and related reading impairments.
Barbara is past president of Milwaukee Sunrise Rotary Club and is active as a student, and occasional speaker, at UWM's Osher Lifelong Learning Institute.
