Interests & Expertise

Dr. Ross has been a professor, lecturer, instructor, and a seminar facilitator for over 40 years. He has had a varied professional career in commercial banking, nonprofit leadership and academe. He has been part of UWM since 2008 as, first, an adjunct instructor, and more recently as a Lecturer for Health Care Administration (HCA). Dr. Ross has taught across the HCA curriculum and has been responsible for developing courses and assisting in curricular design before assuming his current position as Associate Professor.

Dr. Ross holds a PhD in Business Administration from the University of Kentucky, an MBA in Finance and Accounting, an MS in Management and a BS in Sec. Education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has numerous academic publications and remains active in research in health care and non-profit management. Dr. Ross was previously the Dean of the College of Business at Cardinal Stritch University and an Associate Professor of Business and area Dean for Barat College of De Paul University in Chicago.

Prior to his academic experience he was a Loan Officer at the First National Bank of Chicago, Senior Commercial Loan Officer and Vice President for M&I Bank and Valley Bank in Madison. Dr. Ross, also, was part of the leadership at Community Health Charities, serving as Vice President for Development and President/CEO.

He resides in Cedarburg, Wisconsin with his wife Carol, who is employed by American Players Theater in Spring Green, Wisconsin.
