Student Success in the Classroom Summit Follow Up

Event Overview
To purpose of this event is to discuss data and develop actionable strategies aimed at enhancing student success and learning outcomes at UWM by improving retention, graduation rates, and course outcomes through intentional action in the classroom. This summit will focus on integrating instructor driven high-impact practices and inclusive excellence strategies within the classroom, in alignment with UWM’s 2030 Strategic Plan, which prioritizes student success as a moral imperative and a critical pathway to generational change.
Event Outcomes
Participants, collaboratively with their teams, will discuss key barriers and opportunities related to student success in their units, identify a set of initiatives to enhance retention and graduation rates for students in their programs, and develop an action plan for incorporating high-impact, inclusive teaching practices into their curriculum. These outcomes will directly contribute to UWM’s mission to provide sustainable and impactful educational experiences that foster long-term success for our students and the broader community.
