Breaking larger assignments down into parts based on specific outcomes per step can raise the level of learning, on time completion, and quality, as well as reduce student stress and  your workload at the end. “Scaffolding” assignments already creates the HIPs Element Investment over Time and is the perfect opportunity to embed multiple HIPs Elements in your online or F2F course.  Doing scaffolding well can transform your course and recalibrate success for your students.
