Low stakes assessments are brief and vital turning points for your teaching and student success. Although they are worth “low points,” they can help you check student grasp of higher-level concepts or lower-level knowledge.  Student learning, confusion, and disengagement will become evident much earlier and inform your teaching before higher stakes assessments weigh students down.
