Overview

Low stakes assessments are brief and vital turning points for your teaching and student success. Although they are worth “low points,” they can help you check student grasp of higher-level concepts or lower-level knowledge.  Student learning, confusion, and disengagement will become evident much earlier and inform your teaching before higher stakes assessments weigh students down. Infused with the HIPs Elements, these quick low stake assessments can become fun, relevant, and pivotal gems that will  increase student success and signal confusion or disengagement.
