The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Retirees Association (UWMRA) offers a welcoming way for UWM retirees to remain active within the university community. UWMRA hosts an annual luncheon and shares timely updates on matters affecting state retirees/annuitants. Together, these programs provide opportunities to stay informed, build connections and continue enjoying all that UWM has to offer.

UWM Campus Privileges

UWM values its continued relationship with retirees and supports UWMRA activities through University Advancement. UWM retiree privileges include:

  • Retaining eligibility to use the Panther Card in UWM Libraries, UWM sports and recreation facilities and other campus areas requiring ID access.
  • Possible eligibility to retain access to specific University IT services, including ePanther and related software.
  • Additional rights and privileges for retirees with Emerit status, defined by the UWM Secretary of the University.

The Retired Faculty Association (RFA) was formed in December 1961 and was renamed the UWM Retirees Association in May 2012, expanding membership eligibility to all UWM faculty and staff retirees.

Since 2015, the UWM Retirees Association Scholarship Fund (fund #7747000) has awarded scholarships to junior or senior undergraduate students to support timely graduation and reduce student loan debt.
