Matt Rinka

Matt Rinka graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s School of Architecture & Urban Planning in 1997 and has helped shape some of the region’s most recognizable recent developments. He founded RINKA, an architecture firm, in 2006. The firm’s projects include Milwaukee’s Deer District and downtown high-rises The Moderne and The Couture. With offices in Milwaukee, Madison and Fort Lauderdale, Florida, RINKA has completed more than 850 projects and earned more than 130 industry awards, along with recognition for its workplace culture. Rinka has served on the UWM Foundation Board for nearly a decade, including as chair until 2025. He currently serves as vice-chair. In 2023, he received the UWM Alumni Association’s Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award in recognition of his contributions.
