Laura Bartels, MLIS, 2009.  After working in Milwaukee (2005-2011) and Chicago (2011-2024) area libraries and progressing through library positions as a shelver, circulation clerk, youth services assistant, tween services librarian, children’s services librarian and public services coordinator, Laura moved ‘back home’ to Maryland in 2024. She found a new library community in the Worcester County Library (MD) system as a state-credentialed, Youth Services Specialist (Berlin Branch), and will become the next Branch Manager at the Berlin Branch on March 2, 2026.
